THE POSITION
We’re seeking a knowledgeable,
Senior Paid Search Specialist
with a minimum of 4-5 years experience with direct hands-on management and optimization of Google Ads campaigns.
As a Senior Paid Search Specialist you would be directly managing key client campaigns across the Google Ads ecosystem. This is inclusive of all campaign types (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTubeTV, Demand Gen, etc.) You’ll be responsible for proactively driving their campaigns forward from both a strategy and hands-on optimization perspective. You will be expected to always have your finger on the pulse of performance by regularly dissecting results, brainstorming ideas, implementing tests and accurately reporting on their results.
You'll be supported by our Senior Leadership team and backed by budget predictions and concrete data provided by our Measurement team, which excels in Media Mix Modelling (MMM) and Incrementality testing. This role will be managed by and working in close collaboration with both our Sr. Director of Performance Marketing and Associate Director of Performance Marketing across client accounts.
In the First 90-Days You Will
- Learn:
All about P1’s unique approach to paid search strategy, optimization, and measurement, become fluent in our naming conventions and the APEX Intelligence reporting platform. Get to know the unique offerings of your client accounts, their goals, and more.
- Manage \& Optimize Campaigns:
Takeover ongoing day-to-day management of existing campaigns, build and launch new campaigns, and optimize across campaigns to drive the best possible results. Functionally this includes things like: Analyzing product performance and adjusting product segmentation or shopping campaign structures accordingly, adjusting bid strategies, mining search-term reports for new or wasted keyword opportunities, writing and launching new ad copy or product titles to implement A/B testing, implementing landing page tests, conducting consistent account hygiene checks to ensure campaigns are setup as intended with best practices in place, etc.
- Budget Pacing \& Optimization:
Proactively begin adjusting allocated budgets across multiple campaigns aligning with the clients monthly goals.
- Monitor Performance:
Utilize in-house and external reporting systems to proactively flag any performance issues or opportunities within campaigns. Provide recommendations on how to address these issues and opportunities.
- Report on Outcomes:
Utilize our in-house report-builder to contribute to delivering end of month performance reports to assigned clients.
- Collaborate:
Actively participate in collaborative calls with your Manager, Senior Leadership, and Clients. Taking detailed notes and implementing feedback and changes as directed.
Long-Term You Will:
- Account Ownership:
Continue to take ownership of the in-platform work for your assigned accounts. Optimizing campaigns and finding ways to unlock further value and results for your clients.
- Lead Collaboration:
Leveraging your growing knowledge of P1’s approach and continued skill development in your owned channels, you will actively drive collaboration and proactively innovate your accounts by bringing new ideas for testing and optimization to the table.
- Coach:
A growing team, we expect all individuals to help us teach our newest hires and facilitate their personal development within P1\.
- Learn Some More:
At P1 we are always looking to test and learn new things, this position will have the opportunity to expand their skills beyond paid search and into other paid media channels, measurement, and more.
QUALIFICATIONS \& REQUIREMENTS
- 4\+ years of demonstrable hands-on experience and expertise directly managing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns
- Direct experience supporting multiple DTC ecommerce clients simultaneously - this position will be responsible for working on multiple client accounts
- Fluency in Google Ads Editor
- Strong working knowledge of Google Merchant Center and product feed management best practices
- Naturally curious with strong analytics skills that promote the ability to measure success of media efforts and identify learnings to enable further success
- Detail oriented with a proven track record of effectively managing multiple responsibilities while ensuring delivery of on-time and error-free work
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Personally aligned with and live out our core values in your day-to-day life
- Based in the U.S. and available to work a minimum of 40-hours per week
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and distraction-free personal workspace
Preferred Skills
- Prior agency experience
- Proficient in Excel and data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Google Looker, and other relevant reporting tools and platforms
- At least 2-3 years working in a client-facing role
- B.S. in Marketing, Advertising, or similar relevant field is ideal

COMPENSATION
Our
aim is to attract and retain the best talent

We offer a competitive starting salary range between
$80,000 and $95,000
annually, with the opportunity to grow. We also offer 100% employer-funded insurance for our employees.
