Sr. Director, Engineering Lead

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director Engineering Lead to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals \& Biotech space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a life sciences environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $214,900 – $358,100 annually

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery of critical technical initiatives and engineering practices
• Lead and develop a team of technical leaders and manage talent strategy
• Shape technology-driven business strategy and engage with executives
• Design AI-augmented engineering workflows and evaluate new tools
• Establish reliability standards, promote resilience, and mentor engineers
• Implement documentation standards and promote knowledge management
• Drive process efficiency and coordinate cross-functional technical work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 12\+ years relevant experience
• Recognized thought leader influencing business strategy and engineering engagement
• Expert in defining data integration patterns and large-scale data flows
• Proficient in full-stack development, capable of rapid skill acquisition and production solutions
• Exceptional communicator shaping practices across different audience levels
