Job Description
Global Logistics Manager (U.S.-Based)
IF YOU DONT QUALIFY PLEASE SAVE EVERYONE SOME TIME AND DONT APPLY.
Full-Time \| Flexible Location \& Hours \| Travel Required
Not everyone can run global logistics.
We’re looking for the person who can actually
own it
.
Our business is growing fast, and with that growth comes complexity: factories, warehouses, ports, customs, containers, flatbeds, customer delivery, and the daily chaos that separates real operators from people who just forward emails.
We need a
U.S.-based Global Logistics Manager
who knows how to keep product moving, build structure where it does not exist, and create logistics systems that scale with a fast-growing building materials company.
This role is for someone who is commercially sharp, operationally tough, and very comfortable getting into the weeds when needed. Someone who can manage the details, fix the problems, build the processes, and keep the whole machine moving.
What You’ll Own
You will take full ownership of our logistics operations across the business, including:
- Shipping from our
manufacturing plant in Asia
- Local logistics systems at our
Dubai warehouse
- End-to-end delivery through to the customer
- U.S. import/export shipping
- Door-to-door U.S. customs clearances
- Container unloading / destuffing
- Flatbed truck delivery to customer sites
You will not be stepping into a perfectly polished machine. You will be helping build it.
What This Role Really Is
This is not a “track the shipment and send an update” job.
This is a role for someone who can:
- build and tighten logistics systems
- create SOPs and controls
- manage freight partners, brokers, and carriers
- solve problems before they become expensive
- improve speed, cost, reliability, and visibility
- bring structure to a growing international operation
In other words:
we need someone who can make global logistics feel controlled, even when it isn’t.
What We’re Looking For
- 10\+ years of experience
in global logistics, import/export, and supply chain operations
- Strong hands-on experience with
U.S. customs clearance, door-to-door delivery, containerized freight, container unloading / destuffing, and flatbed truck delivery
- Proven experience building and improving
logistics systems, SOPs, and operational controls
- Experience working across multiple geographies
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding, customs brokerage, port operations, warehousing, and final-mile coordination
- Experience in
building materials, construction materials, industrial products, timber, or other heavy / bulky goods
strongly preferred
- Strong commercial judgement, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-growth business where things are evolving quickly
- Able to operate both strategically and tactically, with no ego about getting into the operational detail
Working Style
- 100% flexible on working hours and location
- Travel to all operational locations is required
We care far more about results, ownership, and execution than where you happen to open your laptop.
How to Apply
Please send your CV along with a short note outlining your experience in:
- Global import/export shipping
- U.S. customs clearance and door-to-door logistics
- Container unloading / destuffing and flatbed delivery
- Building logistics systems and processes in a growing business
If you’ve done this before, built the systems, handled the pressure, and know how to move product globally without drama, we’d like to hear from you.
