Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and specialty care environments. Your expertise will support physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history documentation
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks
  • Administer injections, medications, and treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy and dermal fillers with aseptic technique
  • Manage acute pain cases and participate in pain management protocols using appropriate interventions
  • Assist in procedures including suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and ventilator management for neonatal to adult patients
  • Coordinate triage processes in emergency or urgent care settings to prioritize patient needs effectively
  • Support hospital-based care including ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I \& II trauma centers, PICU (Pediatric ICU), and neonatal ventilator management
  • Engage in clinical research and clinical trials to advance evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate medical records and data collection for quality assurance
  • Participate in discharge planning, health coaching, and post-acute care processes for diverse patient populations

Experience

  • Proven hospital experience with a strong background in emergency medicine, critical care, or hospital medicine
  • Prior exposure to Level I \& II trauma centers or teaching hospitals is highly desirable
  • Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms for documentation and data management
  • Skilled in procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, IV infusion, dialysis support, radiation therapy assistance, and dermabrasion techniques
  • Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding for accurate billing and documentation purposes
  • Hands-on experience managing infectious disease cases, occupational health issues, or public health initiatives is advantageous
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology essential for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning
  • Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations across diverse age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics
  • Experience working within outpatient clinics or medical offices with a focus on primary care or specialty services such as hospice \& palliative medicine or addiction counseling
