About The Role

KITSCH is seeking a talented and dynamic Web \& UI/UX Designer to join our creative team. This pivotal role involves shaping the visual and interactive elements of our website and digital platforms to ensure an engaging, seamless, and user-centric experience. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for aesthetics, a customer-focused mindset, and extensive experience in web and UI/UX design, particularly with Figma. You will be responsible for designing captivating home page banners, updating category imagery to keep the website fresh and aligned with current trends, developing icons, and creating wireframes that illustrate optimal user journeys. A mobile-first approach is essential, ensuring consistent and high-quality experiences across all devices. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter, capable of delivering innovative design concepts with meticulous attention to detail, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak sales seasons such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in graphic design, with a focus on web design and UX/UI
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work, including website design, mobile-first projects, and UI/UX solutions
  • Experience in e-commerce platforms and digital retail environments
  • Prior experience working within the beauty or lifestyle industry is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Figma for designing layouts, wireframes, and collaborative projects
  • Proficiency in Photoshop for image editing, retouching, and asset optimization
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus
  • Understanding of user engagement metrics and experience with A/B testing

Responsibilities

  • Design a minimum of 10 visually compelling home page banners each month, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and current trends
  • Update category imagery monthly to maintain a fresh and engaging website aesthetic
  • Develop high-quality imagery and iconography to support various website sections, maintaining consistency and brand integrity
  • Lead the creation of wireframes and prototypes to illustrate user flows and enhance overall UX/UI design
  • Generate and optimize assets for responsive, mobile-first website design to ensure a seamless experience across all devices
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Technology to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Conduct A/B testing on website designs to evaluate user engagement and incorporate insights into future designs
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, especially during high-traffic sales periods
  • Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, best practices, and incorporate innovative ideas into the design process
