Substack setup and brand designer (one time contract)

Job Overview

Must be in the little rock Arkansas area! We are seeking a talented Substack setup and brand designer to create a professional newsletter. This one-time contract role is ideal for an expert in branding, visual design, and web UI who can build a seamless user experience. You will bring creative vision to shape our visual presence and launch an engaging standout platform. Offering $500 project fee with a flexible schedule.

Duties

• Develop a comprehensive branding strategy tailored for the Substack platform, including logo design, color schemes, typography, and visual themes
• Design and implement custom graphics, motion graphics, and visual elements to enhance newsletter content and promotional materials
• Set up and configure the Substack account, including layout customization, subscription forms, and integration with other marketing tools
• Create engaging digital art assets using industry-standard graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or CorelDRAW
• Prepare design files optimized for both digital display and print production when necessary
• Collaborate with content creators to ensure visual consistency across all branding elements and marketing campaigns
• Incorporate technical skills like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management system (CMS) integrations to enhance platform functionality and user experience

Requirements

• Proven experience in art direction, branding, UI/UX design, and motion graphics within digital media environments
• Strong portfolio demonstrating logo design, illustration, typography design for media, and digital/print design projects
• Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and other Adobe Creative Suite tools
• Technical proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress or similar CMS platforms for website setup and customization
• Knowledge of color management, prepress processes, print production standards, and typography principles for media
• Ability to create visually compelling content with attention to detail in photo editing, photo manipulation, and visual storytelling
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
• Experience working on branding projects for digital platforms with a focus on marketing design is highly desirable
