Job Description

Catamac Filtration

Lonsdale, Adelaide SA \| Full-time \|

What if your next marketing role gave you the autonomy to build the function your way and direct access to the Managing Director to turn ideas into action?

Catamac

is entering an ambitious new stage of growth and is ready to make its market presence match the strength of its products and customer offering.

As our newly created Marketing Lead, you will have broad ownership of

Catamac’s

brand, content, digital presence and customer facing marketing. You won’t inherit someone else’s roadmap—you will create it, with the autonomy to establish priorities, test ideas and build a marketing capability that delivers measurable commercial impact.

Reporting directly to Managing Director you will help position

Catamac

as Australia’s preferred filtration brand and service-kitting partner.

For a commercially minded, hands on marketer who wants greater ownership, influence and visibility, this is a rare opportunity to build something meaningful and see the results of your work.

The Opportunity

Catamac

is an Australian family owned market leader in the supply of filters and service kitting solutions for mining, quarry, infrastructure, civil, and oil/gas industries with the most innovative online platform in the industry with operations across Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney.

Our purpose is to make life easier for the people who own, operate and maintain heavy duty fleets. Through custom kitting, integrated systems, fast dispatch and a customer first approach, we help customers simplify fleet maintenance, reduce operational complexity and keep critical equipment moving.

Our ambition is clear: To become Australia’s preferred filter brand of choice.

Competing against much larger and longer established brands,

Catamac

has ambitious growth plans and a clear opportunity to strengthen its market visibility, customer engagement and brand recognition.

Working directly with the Managing Director and collaborating across business development, technical product, sales, customer service and IT, you will:

  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy aligned with

Catamac’s

commercial objectives.

  • Lead the redevelopment and improvement of the

Catamac

website, including content, imagery, SEO, customer experience and lead capture.

  • Establish a consistent content and channel strategy across LinkedIn, YouTube and relevant customer communities.
  • Translate technical filtration information into clear, engaging and commercially relevant content.
  • Develop targeted messaging for

Catamac’s

different customer audiences—from mechanics and diesel fitters to procurement leaders, engineers and senior decision makers.

  • Produce high quality sales collateral, product information, campaign content and digital assets.
  • Build a professional library of product, people and industry photography.
  • Establish meaningful KPIs and measure the effectiveness and commercial return of marketing activity.

The Marketing Professional We’re Looking For

You are a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves and executing.

You may have built your career within mining, heavy equipment, manufacturing, industrial distribution, filtration, automotive aftermarket or another technical B2B environment. Direct industry experience would be valuable, but it is not essential if you can demonstrate the curiosity and commercial intelligence to learn a technical product and market quickly.

You understand that effective marketing is not simply about activity or visibility. It should build trust, support sales, create demand and contribute to business growth.

You will bring:

  • Experience developing a marketing function, brand or programme from a relatively low base.
  • Strong strategic capability combined with hands-on execution.
  • Experience across websites, content, social media, campaigns and sales collateral.
  • Strong copywriting skills, ideally for B2B, technical or industrial audiences.
  • Sound visual judgement and the ability to confidently direct creative work.
  • The autonomy and initiative to develop ideas without waiting for a detailed brief.
  • A commercially grounded approach to marketing performance and ROI.
  • The confidence to work directly with senior leadership and collaborate across technical and customer-facing teams.

Why This Role Is Different

Genuine autonomy:

You will have the freedom to establish the strategy, systems, content and channel approach — not simply execute an existing plan.

Direct access and influence:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will work closely with the business’s decision-maker and can influence important brand and commercial priorities.

Visible commercial impact:

Your work will directly affect how customers understand, trust and engage with

Catamac.

You will see the connection between your ideas, market response and business growth.

A business investing in its future:

You will join

Catamac

as it moves into a new purpose built Lonsdale headquarters and invests in the capability required for its next phase.

Share in business performance:

Following successful completion of the six-month probation period, you will be eligible to participate in

Catamac’s

EBIT-linked Growth by Sharing Bonus Scheme.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 6–12 months, you will have:

  • Established a clear marketing strategy and channel priorities.
  • Relaunched or materially improved the Catamac website.
  • Created a consistent and relevant content programme.
  • Developed stronger messaging for Catamac’s key customer audiences.
  • Improved the quality and consistency of sales and marketing collateral.
  • Strengthened Catamac’s visibility, credibility and differentiation in its target markets.
  • Introduced a measurable approach to marketing performance and return.

Location and Working Arrangement
