Job Description
About the Opportunity
We’re hiring a Senior Scrum Master to support three high-performing cybersecurity teams at a Fortune 500 financial institution in Columbus. This role will provide coverage during a maternity leave, with potential for long-term opportunities across the organization in 2026 if performance is strong.
Why You’ll Love This Role
Join a highly mature Agile environment within the cybersecurity org — you’ll be stepping into a role with purpose, visibility, and leadership support.
Work under Carolyn Anson, one of the most respected leaders in the company — a warm, direct, and growth-minded servant leader.
Collaborate with strong stakeholders and agile teams that are passionate, capable, and ready for a leader who can push work forward while staying positive and collected.
Be part of mission-critical initiatives like Post Quantum Cryptography, Secure Key Management, and Data Discovery Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Lead three cybersecurity-focused teams (Cryptography, Data Discovery Engineering, EUBA \& PQC) through Agile practices — primarily Kanban, with light Scrum-like rituals.
Own team boards in Azure DevOps (ADO) — manage cards, track blockers, move work along, and escalate when needed.
Prepare and deliver end-of-sprint metrics and reports every two weeks.
Participate in Tech Ops meetings — stay plugged into roadmaps, dependencies, and cross-functional work that may impact your teams.
Constantly identify and remove blockers, track delivery progress, and drive agile maturity.
Foster relationships across the org, including tech leads and stakeholders (some of whom may need more Agile coaching).
What We’re Looking For
Senior-level Scrum Master with strong Kanban experience (not just Kanban boards — but true understanding of Kanban principles like WIP limits, flow, and pull-based systems).
Strong communicator — someone who’s crisp, clear, efficient, and calm under pressure.
Capable of leading with positivity — needs to manage one leader who is quiet and less agile-minded, and another who may occasionally need a mindset reset.
Experience with Azure DevOps (preferred) or Jira.
Ability to pick up on technical/security concepts quickly — background in cybersecurity not required, but curiosity and confidence are.
