Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux system software.
- Develop systemd services, kernel modules, and other low-level platform components.
- Improve platform reliability, maintainability, and overall software quality.
- Own embedded Linux security across boot, operating system, and runtime services.
- Design and implement secure software architecture for connected embedded devices.
- Manage code signing, cryptographic key provisioning, and device authentication.
- Develop anti-rollback protection and secure update mechanisms.
- Partner with hardware, manufacturing, and global engineering teams to support product launches.
- Develop manufacturing test software and production validation tools.
- Deliver high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable software.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Continuously improve platform performance, reliability, and security.
Required Qualifications:
- 5\+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience.
- Strong C/C\+\+ programming skills.
- Deep experience with Embedded Linux development.
- Expertise with Yocto, BitBake, systemd, and Linux kernel development.
- Experience developing secure software for embedded or IoT devices.
- Experience optimizing software in resource-constrained environments.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed to support manufacturing and product deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing Secure Boot, Chain of Trust, and cryptographic key provisioning.
- Experience with OP-TEE or Trusted Execution Environments (TEE).
- Experience integrating secure services with Embedded Linux.
- Knowledge of wireless technologies including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
- Experience building commercial IoT, consumer electronics, or connected hardware products.
- Strong debugging and systems-level problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative product development environments.
