Carpenter / Siding Installer

Lake Effect Exteriors is a fast-growing exterior remodeling company serving Metro Detroit. We specialize in premium siding, roofing, windows, doors, and trim installations. We're looking for dependable, motivated carpenters and siding installers who care about doing quality work and want to grow with a company that values professionalism and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Install LP® SmartSide®, vinyl, fiber cement, PVC trim, soffit, fascia, and exterior finishes.
• Repair and frame walls, overhangs, porches, and structural components as needed.
• Install exterior doors, windows, flashing, and weatherproofing.
• Read plans, take measurements, and ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other construction equipment safely.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and coworkers.
• Follow all company safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2\+ years of carpentry, siding, or exterior remodeling experience preferred.
• Experience installing LP SmartSide, vinyl siding, or fiber cement is a plus.
• Ability to safely lift 50\+ pounds.
• Comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude.
• Must be dependable and punctual.

• Exterior trim carpentry
• Window and door installation
• Framing experience
• Metal brake operation
• Housewrap and flashing installation
• Roofing experience is a plus

Pay: $25\.00–$40\.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 40–50 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Occasional Saturdays during peak season

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Work Location: In person throughout Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan
