Cloud FinOps Architect (100% Remote)
Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology company, is seeking a Cloud/FinOps Architect to design, implement, and scale cloud financial management frameworks across a complex multi-cloud ecosystem.
This role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, financial strategy, and engineering, ensuring cloud investments deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation in cloud architecture and can influence engineering teams while driving cost optimization strategies using FinOps principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evolve scalable FinOps architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
- Implement cloud cost optimization strategies aligned with business objectives
- Identify and lead cost-saving initiatives across multi-cloud platforms
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to build cost-efficient architectures
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting for cloud spend visibility
- Establish and promote FinOps best practices and governance models
- Influence architectural decisions with a cost-aware mindset
Required Qualifications:
- 5\+ years of experience in designing and implementing cloud architecture
- Experience with FinOps, or cloud cost optimization
- Deep understanding of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, including billing models
- Hands-on experience with Flexera One Cloud Cost Optimization
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Terraform, PowerShell)
- Proven ability to design and implement cost-efficient cloud architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Engineer certification
- Experience optimizing costs in Kubernetes environments
- Familiarity with cloud observability and cost monitoring tools
- Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
