Accountant -F&B

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Nasty Cookies is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company’s accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in the F\&B industry, strong exposure to SME environments, and the ability to manage end-to-end accounting activities including GST compliance, month-end closing, and management reporting.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, improving processes, and supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting \& Financial Operations

• Manage full spectrum of accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Handle day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities within the group.
• Perform monthly closing activities and ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis, and variance explanations.

GST \& Compliance

• Manage GST-related matters including preparation and submission of GST returns.
• Ensure accurate GST treatment of transactions and compliance with IRAS requirements.
• Support external auditors, tax agents, and other external stakeholders during audits and statutory filings.
• Ensure compliance with corporate tax and regulatory requirements.

Multi-Entity SME Accounting

• Manage accounting operations across multiple business entities, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Support consolidation activities and ensure accurate reporting across entities.
• Develop and improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows suitable for a growing SME environment.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business growth.

Business Support

• Monitor cash flow, payments, and working capital requirements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Provide financial data and analysis to support management decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automation within accounting processes

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the Food \& Beverage (F\&B), retail, hospitality, or consumer business industry.
• Strong experience handling full-set accounting in an SME environment.
• Proven experience managing accounting activities for multiple entities, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience with Singapore GST reporting and IRAS compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of Singapore accounting practices and statutory requirements.

SKILLS

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar systems will be an advantage.
