Sr. Contracts Manager

A California-based biotech organization is seeking a Sr. Contracts Manager to support its R\&D contracting efforts.

About the Opportunity:

Monday to Friday

• Hours:

Standard business hours

• Setting:

Hybrid (at least 3 days a week onsite)

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, redline, and negotiate Clinical Trial Agreements and other R\&D-related contracts
• Manage contract intake, drafting, review, and execution workflows
• Partner with internal stakeholders across clinical, research, regulatory, procurement, finance, and legal teams
• Assess contractual risk and provide practical recommendations to support business objectives
• Support continuous improvement of contracting processes and templates

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 3\+ years of recent contracts experience; or, a Juris Doctorate with 2\+ years of related experience
• Direct experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements
• Hands-on contract negotiation experience with counterparties
• Experience managing contract drafting and contract review
• Experience supporting R\&D, clinical development, clinical operations, pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or clinical research organizations
• Ability to independently assess contractual risk and provide practical recommendations

Desired Skills:

• JD (Juris Doctor)
• Biotechnology industry experience
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems
• Agiloft experience
• Global contracting experience across EU, UK, or APAC regions
• Experience negotiating CDAs, MSAs, SOWs, MTAs, DUAs, and IIS agreements
