Job Description

itD is seeking an Human Resource Manager to lead complex employee relations investigations and provide strategic guidance that fosters a fair, respectful, and compliant workplace. This role plays a critical part in supporting organizational integrity by resolving workplace concerns, advising leadership, and ensuring consistent application of policies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in employee relations investigations and a proven track record of managing high-volume, complex casework with clear, defensible outcomes.

Location: Remote for the right candidate. Hybrid preferred - RTP, NC

Duration: 10 months

Responsibilities

  • Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend actions aligned with company policies and best practices.
  • Manage end-to-end casework, ensuring timely communication, thorough documentation, and efficient resolution.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of investigations, findings, and outcomes.
  • Advise managers, HR partners, and cross-functional teams on employee relations matters and policy interpretation.
  • Coach and counsel employees and leadership on complex workplace issues and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with legal, HR, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent and compliant resolutions.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of employee relations programs, training, and process improvements.

Internal Responsibilities

  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • 6\+ years of experience in Human Resources or Employee Relations, including 3\+ years conducting investigations.
  • Experience working within a multinational organization.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, investigations, and employment policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, complex casework independently.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make objective, defensible decisions.
  • Experience delivering presentations and training on HR or employee relations topics.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with employee relations case management systems such as HR Acuity.
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency in HR processes.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required.
