As a Sr NetSuite Applications Architect, you will own the architecture, design, and long‑term health of HealthEquity’s NetSuite platform. This is a hands‑on, senior technical role responsible for shaping how NetSuite supports our financial operations, subscription and usage‑based billing, reporting, integrations, and internal controls as the company continues to scale.
You will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, FP\&A, Product, Data, and Enterprise Applications to design solutions that are durable, auditable, and aligned to business outcomes. This role combines deep NetSuite expertise with strong architectural judgment and stakeholder partnership. What you’ll be doing* Own the end to end architecture of HealthEquity’s NetSuite environment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and strong financial controls
- Design and govern NetSuite solutions across Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
- Serve as the senior technical authority for NetSuite configuration, customization, and solution design
- Architect and oversee integrations between NetSuite and upstream and downstream systems such as billing platforms, data warehouses, payroll, expense tools, and third party vendors
- Provide technical leadership for SuiteScript development, workflows, and automation, balancing customization with platform best practices
- Partner with Accounting and Finance leadership to support close, audit readiness, SOX controls, and ITGC requirements
- Lead change management, release planning, and upgrade strategy for NetSuite
- Translate complex business requirements into clear technical designs and documentation
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, with the ability to push back when needed and recommend sustainable solutions
- Mentor and guide NetSuite developers, administrators, and partner resources
What you will need to be successful* 8\+ years of experience working with NetSuite in complex, enterprise scale environments
- Proven experience as a NetSuite Architect, Senior NetSuite Engineer, or Financial Systems Architect
- Deep expertise across core NetSuite modules including GL, AR, AP, billing, revenue recognition, and reporting
- Strong experience designing and supporting integrations using middleware or APIs
- Hands on experience with SuiteScript, workflows, saved searches, and NetSuite customization
- Strong understanding of financial processes and controls, including SOX and audit support
- Ability to partner effectively with Accounting, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams
- Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
- Comfort operating in a remote, fast moving, publicly traded company environment
Nice to Have* Experience supporting subscription or usage based billing models
- Experience in fintech, healthcare, or highly regulated environments
- Experience working through major NetSuite implementations or re architectures
- Familiarity with data and analytics integrations tied to NetSuite financial data

Salary Range: $137,500\.00 To $182,000\.00 / year Benefits \& Perks:
The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. Onboarding \& Travel
This is a remote role, with an in-person onboarding training component. New team members must participate in Trailhead, HealthEquity’s immersive onboarding experience Trailhead is designed to foster meaningful connections, support your integration into the organization, and equip you with a strong understanding of our business. Trailhead participation is a key expectation of this role. Trailhead is held onsite at our headquarters once per quarter. HealthEquity covers all required travel and accommodations.
This role may begin with a virtual, self-paced onboarding experience, followed by a mandatory onsite Trailhead session at a later date.
