About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Chief Product Officer to lead our product organization and drive the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of innovative products that create exceptional customer value. The CPO will partner closely with the CEO, CTO, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to align product investments with business objectives and market opportunities.
This executive will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, build and mentor high-performing product teams, and ensure sustainable growth through customer-centric product innovation.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy \& Vision
- Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with company goals.
- Develop long-term product strategy and multi-year roadmap.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends.
- Drive product portfolio decisions based on strategic business priorities.
Leadership \& Team Development
- Lead Product Management, Product Operations, and Product Design functions.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain world-class product leaders.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer obsession.
Product Execution
- Oversee product discovery, validation, development, launch, and optimization.
- Partner with Engineering leadership to ensure successful delivery.
- Implement data-driven decision-making across the product organization.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business impact and customer value.
Customer \& Market Focus
- Serve as the voice of the customer at the executive level.
- Engage directly with strategic customers and key stakeholders.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research.
- Translate customer insights into actionable product opportunities.
Business Impact
- Own product-related revenue, adoption, retention, and growth metrics.
- Support go-to-market planning and commercialization efforts.
- Present product strategy and performance updates to executive leadership and the Board.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- 15\+ years of product management experience.
- 7\+ years in senior product leadership roles (VP Product, SVP Product, Head of Product, or CPO).
- Proven track record of scaling SaaS, marketplace, fintech, healthtech, AI, or enterprise software products.
- Experience leading teams of 20\+ product professionals.
- Strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar product portfolios.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in venture-backed startup environments.
- Experience leading AI/ML-driven product initiatives.
- Experience with international product expansion.
- Public company or IPO experience is a plus.
