Position Summary
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead operations across manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, shipping/receiving, and service functions. This individual will be responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products, and supporting company growth through effective leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing and supply chain operations, excellent leadership skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing, materials management, service operations, shipping/receiving, and customer service teams to achieve operational objectives and performance goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, efficiency, inventory management, waste reduction, and lead-time improvement.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize supply chain performance, production support, and customer satisfaction.
- Plan and manage staffing, material availability, inventory levels, and facility resources to support business requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop supplier relationships while supporting sourcing initiatives, supplier performance improvement, and cost-reduction efforts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment between customer demand, production schedules, inventory management, and operational capabilities.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain, operations, quality, delivery, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Support strategic planning efforts and provide recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and business performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, and/or supply chain environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, production planning, purchasing, logistics, and supply chain best practices.
- Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
Preferred
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, quality management systems, and supply chain optimization tools.
- Continuous improvement training or certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) are a plus.
