Chemours is seeking a
Senior Procurement Specialist – COE
to join our growing Procurement team. This position will be available at the Chemours Corporate Headquarters in
Wilmington, DE
and report directly to the Procurement Manager, COE.
This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of procurement analytics, compliance monitoring, and contract management systems, advancing digital transformation and operational effectiveness, and supporting strategic initiatives and procurement Center of Excellence projects in alignment with organizational goals.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Digital Enablement \& Analytics
+ Act as Product Owner for procurement analytics solutions, including savings reporting, KPI scorecards, and transformation dashboards
+ Support AI, automation, and advanced analytics initiatives within Procurement
- Governance, Compliance \& Controls
+ Oversee procurement compliance KPIs and monitoring processes
+ Lead or support compliance initiatives related to non‑PO payments, travel, and procurement policies
+ Ensure procurement policies, procedures, and controls are reviewed, updated, and effectively monitored
- Procurement Systems \& Platform Ownership
+ Act as Business Process Owner for Procurement Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, including access management, user enablement, continuous improvement, and upgrade coordination
+ Ensure data hygiene, execution controls, and system governance standards are maintained
- Transformation \& Strategic Initiatives
+ Support procurement participation in enterprise transformation programs and workstreams
+ Lead or support procurement-related initiatives such as market intelligence, digital strategy, design and maintenance of procurement SharePoint/intranet site, and operational excellence programs
+ Build value cases, monitor execution, and report progress and outcomes to procurement leadership
- Other CoE Initiatives
+ Execute other CoE initiatives as assigned by leadership
The Following Is Required For This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management information systems, supply chain or engineering, or 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree
- 3-5\+ years of experience in procurement operations, governance, or center‑of‑excellence (CoE) environments
- Proficient data and computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Advanced Excel skills, Outlook, Explorer), ARIBA, SAP/Oracle, and Power BI
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; skills in attention to detail and accuracy
- Exhibits strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship management abilities
- Maintains a service-oriented attitude and keen focus on the voice of the customer
- Ability to prioritize numerous initiatives simultaneously and work independently
- Detail-oriented, but still able to work towards larger strategic goals
- Comfortable with manipulating large swaths of data and developing insights
- Develop expertise in different aspects of procurement operations and being able to switch assignments across different operations initiatives
The Following Is Preferred For This Role
- Good understanding / working knowledge of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools such as Sirion, Ariba CLM, etc.
- Keenness to self-learn and stay abreast of various developments in the procurement operations space (S2P, Compliance, etc.)
- Experience in SOX/Compliance/Internal Control programs, ideally within S2P, procurement and supply chain management
- Possesses a Quality mind-set, and a passion for continuous improvement and knack for technology and systems
