Role: Calibration Engineer

Location: Columbus, IN \& Detroit, MI

Job DescriptionMust Have Technical/Functional Skills

§ Expertise in CAN J1939 communication protocol. Must be able to understand and interpret J1939 messaging.

§ Basic understanding of how control system function.

§ Strong understanding of ECU CAN J1939 communication diagnostic concepts and strategies.

§ Proven background in embedded controls and CAN J1939 testing/validation.

§ Understanding of control algorithm and calibration of engines parameters.

§ Experience in coordination and collaborate with cross-functional teams, like system integration team, and software team.

§ AUTOSAR application development would be an added advantage

§ Experience in CAN, OBD, UDS Protocols

§ Experience in handling of OEM calibration tools.

§ Expertise in C Programming language

§ Skilled in communication, presentation, documentation and teamwork. Roles \& Responsibilities

§ Act as the owner for all ECM CAN J1939 related diagnostics, including completing required testing and conducting phase reviews.

§ Tune, calibrate, validate and test all the ECM CAN J1939 messages required for a given EBU On-Highway engine program to seamlessly integrate with OEM ECU controllers/Smart Aftertreatment sensors/Telematics etc.

§ Investigate ECM communication CAN J1939 issues related to customers/OEMs, test vehicles, or test cells, understand root causes, and recommend effective solutions while documenting outcomes clearly. Generic Managerial Skills, If any

Managing the program changes and coordinating with team

Support team in performing root cause analysis

Proven track record in technical problem-solving and quality decision-making.
