High Side Technology
has requirements for a senior-level engineer / architect to support advanced solutions design, engineering, and cloud modernization initiatives for national security and Intelligence Community (IC) customers. Requirements include designing, integrating, deploying, and optimizing cloud-native analytic services, automation solutions, and scalable network and data platforms that enable advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) capabilities. All positions will work as part of an integrated government / contractor team in supporting and operationalizing new capability initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support cloud-native architectures that enable advanced intelligence analytic services and C4ISR mission applications.
- Lead the integration and deployment of cloud-based analytic frameworks, microservices, APIs, and automated data processing solutions.
- Support cloud migration initiatives and modernization efforts aligned with enterprise architecture, cloud-first strategies, and microservices adoption.
- Provide technical leadership for cloud modernization initiatives supporting AI, ML, computer vision, and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Design and implement automated workflows that reduce manual intelligence processes through rules engines, alerts, event-driven architectures, and analytic services.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, and government stakeholders to develop scalable analytic platforms and production-ready services.
- Develop cloud infrastructure solutions that support high availability, security, scalability, and optimize cost-efficient performance across enterprise and edge environments.
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and deployment automation using modern DevSecOps practices.
- Develop technical roadmaps, architecture documentation, and implementation strategies supporting cloud-native processing and analysis capabilities.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve automation, system performance, and mission effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance during architecture reviews, design reviews, integration activities, testing, and production deployments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure interoperability, secure system integration, and successful delivery and optimization of cloud-enabled capabilities.
Desired experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree.
- Expert-level experience in government or industry in data management or Big Data analysis.
- Experience architecting and integrating solutions using Cloud-based technologies.
- Demonstrated senior-level experience designing and implementing enterprise cloud solutions within DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
- Experience architecting cloud-native applications using modern service-oriented or microservices architectures.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including cloud networking, compute, storage, and security services.
- Experience supporting DevSecOps environments including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and configuration management.
- Experience integrating software applications, APIs, and enterprise services across distributed cloud environments.
- Experience designing, deploying, and optimizing Kubernetes platforms.
- Experience supporting secure cloud environments operating under government security requirements.
The Senior Engineer / Architect will work on government site and as part of a distributed multi-disciplinary team. This position requires interaction with government customers at all levels of authority and technical acuity and requires the ability to communicate technical and programmatic information through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements:
United States citizenship required
Top Secret/SCI security clearance or current Top Secret SSBI with TS/SCI eligibility required; counterintelligence (CI) polygraph required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field
