Senior ETL Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a

Senior ETL Developer

to join a leading financial services and investment organization based in

Wayne, PA.

This role plays a critical part in building and optimizing data pipelines, enhancing data integration workflows, and ensuring consistent delivery across onshore and offshore teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics and operational data needs
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable data solutions
• Develop and improve data models to support reporting and downstream systems
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and offshore engineers to ensure consistent delivery and adherence to standards
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices across data development work
• Troubleshoot performance issues, data bottlenecks, and pipeline failures
• Maintain documentation for data workflows, processes, and development standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• 5\+ years of hands‑on ETL/ELT development experience
• Strong SQL skills and experience with tools like DBT, Talend, Matillion, Informatica, or Python-based ETL
• Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or Redshift
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and version control (Git or similar)
• Prior experience collaborating with or guiding offshore teams
• Strong communication, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work across technical and business groups

COMPENSATION:

• Salary Range: $100,000 – $140,000
• Hybrid Schedule: 4 days onsite per week in Wayne, PA
