Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, you will be responsible for transforming data into insights that drive business value. This involves designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions, crafting and executing queries upon request for data, and presenting information through reports and visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including data warehouses, dashboards, and reports.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems and design analytical solutions that meet business needs.
- Create tools to store data (e.g., OLAP cubes).
- Conduct data modelling, visualization, and performance optimization.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
- Develop and update technical documentation for database design and BI system configuration.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular audits and troubleshooting.
- Keep abreast of developments and trends in BI technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist.
- Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI).
- Knowledge of SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Experience in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data mining.
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
