What You Will Be Doing

• Create and facilitate exceptional learning sessions – Develop workshops spanning mathematics, science, philosophy, and creative writing while offering individualized mentorship to 15-20 gifted students advancing at 5-10x standard pace
• Identify and resolve learning barriers – Modify methodologies dynamically to support students who have surpassed conventional education and need to discover their intellectual advantage
• Apply AI tools for customization
• Partner and enhance – Improve workshop frameworks alongside colleagues and measure effectiveness using both qualitative feedback and quantitative data

Basic Requirements

Academic Guide key responsibilities

• Premium education – Bachelor's degree from an Ivy League institution or comparable university
• Demonstrated academic distinction – National Merit Finalist, Olympiad medal recipient, early college completion, or equivalent accomplishment
• Distinguished academic credential – Competitive scholarship (Rhodes, Fulbright, NSF GRFP), Mensa/Triple Nine Society affiliation, PhD, or university-level instructional experience
• 3 years of mentorship background – Experience coaching, mentoring, or instructing students in any setting
• Regular AI engagement – Self-reported daily utilization of generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
• Geographic availability – Prepared to relocate to or work on-site in Austin (Georgetown), TX
• Employment eligibility – Authorized to work legally in the United States without requiring sponsorship

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
