Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you are involved in the mechanical design and development of innovative mechatronic systems. You play an essential role in the mechanical aspects of complex products and work closely with designers, architects, and other engineers in a multidisciplinary environment. From early concepts to realization and validation, you contribute to solutions that are functional and reliable.

Your Responsibilities

You are involved throughout the product development lifecycle. This includes translating high-level requirements into mechanical concepts, contributing to system design choices, and further detailing these concepts into producible designs. You help ensure that designs meet technical, functional and quality requirements, while keeping an overview of the system as a whole.

During realization, you support the transition from design to production, collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners, and contribute to testing, verification and commissioning of systems. When challenges arise, you take a solution-oriented and creative approach.

Your Profile

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD (SolidWorks).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
