Job Description

Our client, an apparel company, is looking for an Account Executive to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key apparel accounts across retail channels while building strong relationships with buyers and merchants.
  • Partner cross-functionally with design, production, sourcing, and merchandising teams to develop product assortments that align with customer needs and sales goals.
  • Drive the sales process from concept through delivery, including line presentations, costing, order management, and seasonal business reviews.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth, new programs, and category expansion.
  • Ensure on-time execution of all programs by monitoring production timelines, inventory flow, and communication between internal teams and retail partners.

Qualifications

  • 3–7\+ years of apparel sales, merchandising, or account management experience, preferably with off-price, department store, and/or club accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the apparel development process, including costing, sourcing, production calendars, and retail merchandising.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with major retailers and successfully manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, retail reporting systems, and ERP/PLM platforms; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
