Role Overview

Kyron Learning is looking for a full-cycle seller to drive both net new business and expansion within existing accounts. This role owns the entire sales process—from prospecting through close—while building strong, long-term customer relationships.

This is a new category in a low-awareness market—success requires creating demand, not just converting it. You will help customers understand and adopt a new approach, not simply evaluate a known solution, while operating in an early-stage, fast-moving environment where processes and messaging continue to evolve.

Depending on experience, this role may be hired at the Account Executive or Senior Account Executive level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound follow-up
  • Build pipeline in a low-awareness market through proactive outreach, education, and value-driven engagement
  • Own the full sales cycle from discovery to close
  • Expand existing accounts through upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Evangelize a new category and guide customers through ambiguous or undefined buying processes
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and align solutions to drive impact
  • Manage pipeline, forecasting, and CRM hygiene with discipline
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently meets or exceeds revenue targets across new business and expansion
  • Builds and maintains a healthy, self-sourced pipeline
  • Effectively navigates stakeholders and drives deals to close, even in complex or ambiguous environments

Experience \& Requirements

  • 5\+ years of quota-carrying sales experience
  • Experience selling into higher education institutions, with the ability to engage academic leadership (e.g., Provosts, Deans, teaching and learning leaders) and other key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to own full sales cycles, including net new business and account expansion, in complex, multi-stakeholder buying environments
  • Experience building pipeline through outbound prospecting, particularly in low-awareness or emerging markets
  • Comfort selling solutions that require customer education and category creation
  • Strong discovery, stakeholder management, and deal execution skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a startup environment with evolving processes and high ambiguity

At the Senior AE level, candidates are expected to bring 10\+ years of quota-carrying experience along with a consistent track record of exceeding quota, independently generating pipeline, leading complex, multi-threaded deals (including executive stakeholders), and owning strategic accounts with a high degree of autonomy.
