About the Role:
The Account Manager will be responsible for owning and scaling the company’s Amazon business as a key digital commerce channel, driving performance across traffic, conversion, and revenue. This individual will be highly analytical and execution-oriented who understands how to drive growth through focuses on performance marketing, content optimization, and conversion strategy. The Account Manager will manage Amazon as an extension of the broader direct-to-consumer ecosystem. They will collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Product, Performance Marketing, Demand Planning, and Finance to align company initiatives with Amazon’s growth strategies. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on Amazon experience who is ready to take on greater ownership and strategic influence.
Job Duties and Accountabilities:
Channel Ownership \& Growth Execution
- Own day-to-day performance of the Amazon channel, including sales, traffic, and conversion
- Support development and execution of growth plans aligned with DTC and marketing strategies
- Identify opportunities across pricing, promotions, assortment, and visibility
- Execute Amazon components of new product launches and key commercial moments
- Lead the strategy for key launches and tentpole events (e.g., Prime Day)
- Develop strategies for growth including but not limited to innovation, catalog expansion, subscriptions, and bundles
- Educate the brand on channel-specific challenges and competitors; develop new approaches and conquesting strategies
- Work with cross-functional teams to build, maintain, and execute seasonal and campaign-specific promotional calendars
- Track and report on core KPIs, proactively identifying risks and opportunities
Performance Marketing \& Media
- Manage and optimize Amazon Advertising campaigns (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display) in partnership with our media agency
- Monitor and improve ROAS, TACoS, and campaign efficiency
- Partner with the performance marketing team to align Amazon within broader paid media efforts
- Manage the Amazon channel budget, including advertising spend, promotional investments, and trade funding
Content \& Conversion Optimization
- Maintain and update our PDPs and Amazon Store to ensure brand consistency and optimization, including creative and content updates, merchandising, etc.
- Monitor product listings, imagery, copy, and promotional content for accuracy and ensure products are in-stock, priced correctly, etc.
- Partner with Creative to enhance product imagery, video assets, A\+ content, and SEO on both marketplaces.
- Continuously test and iterate to improve conversion rates
Vendor Central (1P) Operations
- Manage core Vendor Central responsibilities:
- Purchase orders, forecasting, and inventory coordination
- Catalog management and item setup
- Issue resolution (chargebacks, shortages, etc.)
- Partner with internal teams to maintain strong in-stock rates and operational health
Analytics \& Reporting
- Analyze performance across sales, traffic, conversion, and media
- Provide weekly reporting and ad hoc analyses on campaign results and channel trends with actionable insights to be shared cross-functionally
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Media, or related
- 3–5\+ years of experience managing a brand’s Amazon business (Vendor Central/1P preferred)
- Strong understanding of e-commerce and DTC fundamentals (e.g., traffic, conversion, CAC, ROAS)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Product, Sponsored Brand, Sponsored Video)
- PDP optimization and content management
- Amazon Retail Analytics or similar tools
- Highly analytical with proficiency in Excel
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, energized by change and motivated by ownership
- Experience in beauty, skincare, or CPG
- Background in a digitally native or DTC-focused brand, preferred
Pay range and compensation package
- $90,000 - $105,000 per year with annual bonus potential.
