Schedule:
Monday – Friday, Full Time, Hybrid, 7:00am – 3:30pm
The
Accountant
supports accurate and timely financial operations across general accounting, reconciliation, and accounts payable functions in accordance with GAAP. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role assists in the monthly close process, credit card and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to contribute to a collaborative and mission-driven finance team while building their expertise in nonprofit accounting.
Responsibilities
- Assists with annual budget development as needed, including preparing support documentation such as the laundry survey, and square footage survey
- Monthly closing responsibilities include reoccurring journal entries and reclass entries
- Credit card reconciliation
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Collect/Distribute the incoming mail
- Assist with weekly Accounts Payable processing
- On-line utility bill processing
- Complete other special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in accounting required
- Non Profit experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance field preferred
- Clearances Required: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, and Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
