Job Description

Join a team shaping the student experience at UniSQ

Are you a communications professional who is passionate about making a difference? Do you thrive on creating clear, engaging, and accessible content that helps others succeed?

We’re looking for a student-centred communicator to join our Student Communications, Events and Development team at UniSQ. In this role, you’ll use your skills in communications to help students navigate their university journey and feel connected, informed, and supported.

Who you are

You’re a communicator with purpose. You enjoy turning complex information into simple, meaningful messages that students can use. You thrive in environments where your work has impact - where every email, webpage, or message helps someone take their next step forward.

You are organised, proactive and take pride in delivering high-quality communication that encompasses clarity, empathy and inclusivity to ensure student success and wellbeing is at the forefront of everything that you do.

What you'll do

As a Student Communications and Information Advisor, you’ll contribute to the delivery of timely, meaningful, and accessible communications that support students across the lifecycle from offer acceptance through to graduation. Working across a range of digital platforms, you’ll translate complex information into clear, engaging content and help ensure students receive the right information at the right time.

This role sits within a broader team responsible for student communications, events, and development initiatives and you will also support a variety of student-focused events and programs across our three campuses offering a unique opportunity to collaborate across projects that enhance connection, belonging, and success.

What will help you succeed

Setting you up for success in this position will be your experience delivering digital communication (ideally in a higher education environment) as well as:

  • A degree in communications (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience managing content across platforms (web, CRM, or knowledgebases)
  • Ability to use data and feedback to improve outcomes

If you’re excited about using your communication skills to make a real difference in students’ lives, we’d love to hear from you.
