Summary
Electrical Engineer 3 Salary Range: $87,000 - $165,000/ Yr.

The Electrical Engineer 3 designs, develops, maintains, tests, and evaluates electronics for CNC computer control system under supervision of a senior engineer or department manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Proposes problem solutions through analysis, problem definition, requirement generation and implementation of proposed solutions.
- Creates documentation and supporting diagrams supporting solutions.
- Prepares schematic designs and simulations which conform to system specifications and electrical best practices.
- Improves workflow by conducting analysis, and recommending changes in policies and procedures to management.
- Investigates failures of existing designs and by collecting and analyzing data, provides suggestions for failure mitigation and redesign.
- Design electronics hardware.
- Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
- 3\+ years of board level design experience.
- Knowledgeable of either Altium or Pads to create schematics.
- Must be active electronics hardware designer.
- Understands firmware and how it affects a hardware design.
- Experience with board level simulations using a SPICE based tool.
- Exposure to board layout.
- Exposure to integration of hardware and firmware into a system.
- Experience defining electronic part specifications.
- Experience with analog, mixed signal and general electronics. Exposure to power electronics is a plus.
- Experience with general test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters and current probes.
- Communicates technical ideas clearly
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications when appropriate.
- Reads and writes technical requirement documentation.
- Experience working with source-control system.
- Collaborates with and reviews the work with peers.
- Analyzes competing designs and selects the best option.
- 0-5% Travel Required
Desired Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex business, government and technical documents in English. Must have the capability to effectively respond to the most sensitive inquiries and/or complaints made by others. Must be able to write speeches and articles using original and/or innovative styles or techniques. It is imperative to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial and/or complex topics to top management, and/or public groups.
Mathematical Skills
Must have an advanced understanding of mathematical concepts including but not limited to probability, statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, and/or calculus.
Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions such as mathematical and/or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
