About the Role

We are currently looking for a

Maintenance Technician II

to join our site in

Uithoorn

.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will carry out a variety of mechanical maintenance, repair, and inspection activities, contributing to safe, reliable, and efficient operations across the site.

In this role, you will help support equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Tasks

What will you do?

  • Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, modifications, and equipment upgrades in line with schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Carry out preventive maintenance activities, including periodic testing of safety systems such as boilers, compressors, and sprinkler installations
  • Inspect and maintain the water treatment system (e.g., pumps, tanks, and filtration units) and collaborate with external contractors when needed
  • Conduct regular site rounds (e.g., tank parks, cooling towers, pump systems) to identify potential issues and support timely repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, completed work, and equipment status
  • Use and maintain tools and equipment responsibly to ensure safe and effective operation
  • Participate in the on-call rotation in line with the site schedule
  • Contribute to ongoing learning and development through training and technical programs
  • Coordinate and support external contractors performing on-site maintenance activities

Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Completed technical education at MBO level or equivalent experience, supported by relevant training
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment
  • NEN 3140 VOP certification, or willingness to obtain it
  • Experience or willingness to develop skills in electrical switching, boiler systems, and water treatment
  • Valid VCA certification, as well as certifications for working at height, aerial platforms, or forklifts (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, SOPs, and work instructions
  • Experience with maintenance systems and general digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Good command of Dutch and basic English
  • Strong organizational skills, a practical problem-solving approach, and a commitment to safety
