Job Description

Manufacturing and distribution company seeking a qualified Financial Analyst to join their team in the North Myrtle Beach area office. This position will play an important role in supporting financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making across the business. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid analytical skills, and the ability to summarize financial and operational data in a clear, practical manner. Experience in a goods-based environment such as manufacturing, distribution, import/export, or inventory-heavy operations is preferred.

The Financial Analyst will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial visibility, identify trends, support margin improvement, and assist with the company’s continued growth and profitability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports to support management decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and periodic reforecasting based on business trends and operational changes.
  • Analyze sales, customer profitability, pricing, and contribution margins to help identify opportunities for improved profitability.
  • Review cost drivers related to products, freight, tariffs, import costs, supplier pricing, and other operational expenses.
  • Support cash flow analysis, working capital planning, and debt management efforts.
  • Analyze inventory levels, turnover, carrying costs, and purchasing trends to help improve inventory efficiency and availability.
  • Work with purchasing, operations, sales, and leadership to evaluate business performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to measure the impact of pricing, sourcing, inventory, sales, and cost decisions.
  • Summarize complex data into clear reports, dashboards, and recommendations for management.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2\+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, operations finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience in a goods-based industry such as manufacturing, distribution, import/export, wholesale, or inventory-heavy operations preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Experience with financial modeling, reporting tools, or business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with complex data and summarize findings clearly.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with accounting, operations, purchasing, sales, and management.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
