AI Engineer

Razor is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy intelligent systems that solve meaningful business and customer problems. This role collaborates with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts to build reliable, scalable, and production-ready AI solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with practical experience in machine learning, generative AI, large language models, and data-driven product development.

Education \& Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain a medium level Government Public Trust Security background check will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deploy AI and machine learning applications.
• Develop solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing products, platforms, and business workflows.
• Build data pipelines and supporting services for model training, evaluation, and inference.
• Establish evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, reliability, safety, latency, and cost.
• Monitor and improve AI systems in production environments.
• Implement responsible AI practices, including privacy, security, bias mitigation, and human oversight.
• Document architecture, technical decisions, experiments, and operational procedures.
• Stay current with developments in AI research, tools, platforms, and engineering best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5\+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or a related technical role.
• 3\+ years of experience in Python and software development best practices.
• 3\+ years of experience with generative AI and large language models.
• Familiarity with APIs, cloud platforms, databases, version control, testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with Amazon SageMaker.
• Experience with JupyterLab.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts, model evaluation, and data preparation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Salesforce and MuleSoft.
• Experience with generative AI and large language models.
• Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, or similar tools.
• Experience with vector databases and retrieval systems.
• Experience with MLOps, model monitoring, and scalable inference systems.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, data privacy, and AI security practices.
• Experience delivering AI solutions from prototype through production.
