AI Engineer (client facing)
SF / $180k-$250k \+ early stage equity
My client is hiring an AI Engineer to work directly with customers on high-impact AI problems. You will design, build, and deploy production software that drives real business outcomes, working hands-on with customer data and iterating quickly based on real-world feedback with enterprise clients.
This role is well suited to engineers from client-facing environments. My client has seen strong success hiring former data scientists and engineers from firms such as BCG, BCG X, McKinsey \& Company, QuantumBlack, Bain \& Company, Palantir, and similar applied AI or consulting-led organizations.
What My Client Is Looking For:
- Strong customer focus and comfort operating in ambiguous environments
- Proficiency in Python and or TypeScript in production systems
- Experience deploying data-heavy or AI-enabled applications
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to travel occasionally, typically up to 20 percent
Nice to Have:
- Forward-deployed or customer-facing engineering experience
- Production experience with ML, LLMs, or agentic AI systems
- Frontend experience, ideally React
