AI Software Engineer, Lightspeed Studios

For our client, we are seeking a AI Software Engineer, Lightspeed Studios to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications \& Hardware space.

This role focuses on building advanced AI software that brings new gaming experiences to life through high-performance model development and deployment. You will work closely with researchers, artists, and engineering partners to turn prototypes into production-ready solutions. The position also emphasizes optimizing AI systems for modern GPU hardware and integrating them into widely used game engines.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $224,000 – $431,250 annually

Responsibilities

• Build and ship innovative software for future gaming projects
• Train and fine-tune AI models tailored to specific game content
• Optimize models for performance and quality on RTX hardware
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the development stack
• Integrate AI models within major game engines like Unreal and Unity
• Lead technical discussions and mentor engineering peers
• Collaborate with researchers and artists to enhance project outcomes

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 12\+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with AI, deep learning, or machine learning systems
• Expert-level proficiency in C\+\+ and Python
• Hands-on experience training and fine-tuning deep learning models with PyTorch or similar
• Experience in video generation, world models, or neural rendering
• Experience optimizing GPU inference with TensorRT or similar
• Proven track record of transforming prototypes into final products
