Job Summary:

We are looking for an AI Specialist – Design Researcher to join our Computational Design team. The role focuses on integrating Artificial Intelligence into architectural and design workflows, driving innovation through data-driven design, automation, and advanced computational techniques. The ideal candidate will bridge design thinking with AI capabilities to enhance project delivery and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement AI-driven solutions within architectural and design workflows
• Conduct research on emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and computational design
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to integrate AI tools into projects
• Build generative design systems, predictive models, and automation tools
• Analyze design data to generate insights and improve decision-making
• Support development of custom tools using scripting and programming
• Stay updated with advancements in AI, parametric design, and digital fabrication

Required Skills \& Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Architecture, Computational Design, Computer Science, or related field
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in AI/Computational Design
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in design
• Proficiency in tools like Python, Rhino/Grasshopper, Dynamo, or similar
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
• Knowledge of parametric and generative design workflows
• Strong problem-solving and research-oriented mindset

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in architectural or urban design projects
• Familiarity with BIM tools (Revit, etc.)
• Exposure to digital fabrication and simulation tools
• Ability to visualize and communicate complex data effectively

Soft Skills:

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Curiosity and passion for innovation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
