Job Description:

The client is seeking an Analytics Engineer to lead customer-facing data consulting engagements and drive internal analytics engineering work within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial healthcare supply chain organization.

Job Summary

•Lead data discovery conversations and gather business requirements from external customers and internal stakeholders

•Translate business logic and requirements into scalable technical solutions and production-grade data pipelines

•Build and maintain pipelines that transform customer data into standardized templates for client implementations

•Develop and maintain data models and datasets supporting BI tool consumption

•Perform heavy SQL and DBT Core work within PySpark and Python environments

•Self-manage projects and priorities with minimal oversight in an ambiguous, startup-like setting

•Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to solve complex data challenges

Minimum Requirements:

•5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related data role

•Strong SQL proficiency and hands-on data modeling experience

•Demonstrated experience with DBT Core or PySpark in production environments

•Python exposure and working capability

•Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders and lead discovery conversations

•Experience building production-grade pipelines and datasets for BI consumption

•Consulting or stakeholder-facing mindset with the ability to contribute independently from day one

Preferred Qualifications:

•Hands-on experience with both DBT Core and PySpark

•Background in external or client-facing consulting roles

•Exposure to BI tools and reporting layer development

•Experience working at smaller companies, startups, or in fast-paced, less-siloed organizations

•Strong project self-management skills with a track record of owning work end-to-end

•Technical or math-focused academic background

•Proximity to Charlotte or the East Coast
