Job Description

About the Company

The Center for Elders' Independence is a distinguished PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization dedicated to delivering comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to the elderly population. Our organization employs an interdisciplinary team approach to care planning and execution, ensuring that participants receive personalized, integrated health services that promote independence, dignity, and improved quality of life. Our facilities include Adult Day Health Centers and primary care clinics, designed to support elderly individuals in maintaining their autonomy within their communities. Unlike traditional healthcare models, CEI operates on a capitation basis, receiving a fixed amount per participant, which enables us to focus on preventive and holistic care rather than fee-for-service billing. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our participants through coordinated care, community engagement, and innovative health solutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer - ERP Application Support (Finance \& HR) to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support, configuration, and issue resolution for our enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems that underpin our Finance and Human Resources functions. The ideal candidate will focus on maintaining system stability, delivering exceptional user support, and ensuring the reliable execution of approved changes to optimize business operations. Working closely with finance stakeholders, vendors, and our Principal Application Developer, the Senior Engineer will play a crucial role in implementing system enhancements, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining the overall health of our ERP applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to serving the elderly community while advancing your career in enterprise application support.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of education, experience, and technical skills, including:

  • An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting ERP applications, particularly in finance and HR modules.
  • Proven experience working with financial or HR systems within regulated environments, such as healthcare or government sectors.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.
  • Strong hands-on support experience with ERP systems, including configuration, user access management, and routine maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting purposes.
  • Familiarity with application integrations and data flows across enterprise systems such as EMR, CRM, and banking platforms.
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python or JavaScript) for automation and issue resolution.
  • Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards like HL7 and FHIR from a support or validation perspective.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively work with business users and technical teams.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Senior Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate closely with finance, HR, business analysts, vendors, and IT partners to understand operational needs and application issues, providing timely and effective solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Provide hands-on support for ERP applications, including executing configuration changes, managing user access, workflow adjustments, and routine system maintenance tasks.
  • Implement approved enhancements and fixes under the guidance of senior technical leadership to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Support ERP-related integrations with other enterprise systems such as EMR, CRM, banking platforms, and third-party vendors, validating data accuracy and completeness for inbound and outbound data flows.
  • Monitor the health and performance of ERP applications, troubleshoot incidents, resolve data discrepancies, and serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues.
  • Ensure ERP systems are compliant with security policies, healthcare regulations, and internal controls, supporting audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and system evidence.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical and operational documentation, including configurations, workflows, and support procedures.
  • Provide user support, training, and guidance to finance and HR staff to promote effective system utilization.
  • Assist with knowledge transfer and onboarding of new support staff to ensure continuity and consistency in ERP application management.
