I'm partnering exclusively with a well funded AI native startup hiring a Senior Applied AI Engineer.

Unlike many businesses adding AI to existing products, this company has been built around AI from day one. They're developing production AI systems that combine Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI Agents to solve complex problems for enterprise customers.

This is a genuine product engineering role where you'll build and ship AI systems used in production every day.

What you'll be doing

• Build production LLM applications
• Design scalable RAG pipelines
• Develop AI Agents and intelligent workflows
• Improve model quality through evaluation frameworks
• Scale backend infrastructure for production AI
• Help shape architecture alongside a small, high performing engineering team

What they're looking for

• Production experience with LLM applications
• Strong Python skills
• Experience with RAG or AI Agents
• Backend engineering experience
• AWS or GCP
• Distributed systems experience
• Product mindset and a passion for solving difficult engineering problems
