Join Our Team at Art Muse Art Studio!

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Art Teacher to join our team and inspire students in grades 6 through 12\. Our students possess varying levels of artistic ability and interests, ranging from foundational art skills to advanced preparation for art high schools and colleges.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in teaching art, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
  • Fine Arts major or a strong background in Fine Arts.
  • Strong proficiency in drawing and painting techniques across diverse mediums.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively engage with students and parents.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor with students.
  • Working experience/knowledge with students with disability is a plus.
  • Must speak English; Korean / Chinese is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
  • Experience with portfolio development, college preparation, and art competition coaching is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and skill levels of students.
  • Teach foundational drawing and painting techniques using various materials including pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, gouache, acrylic and more.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship for students preparing portfolios for art programs and college applications, as well as supporting those interested in art competitions.
  • Provide verbal/written feedback to parents.
  • Student management (attendance, makeup schedules, progress notes, student artwork management, etc.).
  • Classroom management (maintain cleanliness, material organization, display art pieces, etc.).
  • Provide consultations to potential new students.
  • Lead Annual Art Exhibition and display.
  • Arrive at site at least 30 minutes before start of class for prep work, and take 15 mins to clean up at the end of the day.

Class Schedule:

Tuesdays: 3:30 PM - 7:40 PM

Wednesdays: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Thursdays: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Saturdays: 9:20 AM - 3:40 PM

Compensation:

Rates may vary from $80\~$120/2hr class

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35\.00 - $50\.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18\.0 per week
