Job Description
We are seeking a
Senior Asbestos Consultant
to join our team. This position is intended for an experienced environmental professional capable of independently managing field projects, interfacing with clients, and supporting junior staff while maintaining high technical and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
As an Environmental Technician, you will support a variety of field and reporting activities, including:
- Performing asbestos inspections and air sampling
- Conducting lead-based paint, mold, and radon sampling
- Assisting with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Completing technical reports following fieldwork
- Traveling to different job sites most days (local and regional)
This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and Owner and does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Ideally, 5\+ years of asbestos consulting and management experience
- Active Colorado certifications (or ability to transfer immediately), such as:
- Asbestos Building Inspector
- Air Monitoring Specialist
- Asbestos Project Designer
- Strong understanding of asbestos, lead, and mold regulatory requirements
- Ability to independently manage fieldwork without supervision
- Experience preparing professional technical reports
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work at active construction and renovation sites
Preferred (not required):
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related scientific field
- Additional certifications (Radon Measurement Professional, Mold Inspector, etc.)
- Phase I ESA experience
- Client management or project coordination experience
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
· Industrial hygiene sampling experience
Pay \& Benefits
- Pay:
Annual Salary of Approximately $100,000 depending on qualifications and experience
