Assistant Chief Financial Officer

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) to join our leadership team and drive financial excellence across our organization. Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Oversee corporate accounting functions ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and industry-specific regulations such as ASC 606 and COSO frameworks.
• Manage financial reporting processes, including the preparation of accurate financial statements, regulatory reports, and internal management reports that interpret complex financial data for executive decision-making.
• Supervise risk analysis activities, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance, risk management protocols, and internal controls to safeguard organizational assets.
• Drive revenue management initiatives by analyzing market trends, developing financial projection models, and supporting business development efforts such as mergers \& acquisitions and fundraising activities.
• Oversee treasury functions including cash flow management, banking relationships, and investment strategies to optimize liquidity and fiscal health.
• Lead the finance team in strategic planning sessions, fostering leadership development while ensuring efficient expense management, cost control, and budget adherence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles such as Finance Director or CFO within complex organizations; experience in nonprofit or governmental accounting is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards including GAAP, IFRS, IAS along with technical accounting expertise such as ASC 606 and COSO frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, modeling, forecasting analysis, and developing financial projection models that support strategic decision-making.
• Strong background in risk management practices including SOX compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing diverse finance teams; ability to mentor staff while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to interpret financial statements clearly for non-financial stakeholders and write comprehensive financial reports.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and financial software tools essential for efficient financial management; experience with supply chain finance or revenue cycle management is advantageous.

Pay: $387,760\.91 - $405,690\.55 per year
