A well established and growing General Contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex, high profile construction projects across New York. The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the full lifecycle of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout. This is a hands on position with real responsibility across financial management, subcontractor coordination, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management
• Review contracts, drawings, and project documentation
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and procurement logs
• Track project risks, action items, and deliverables
• Support project reporting and client communication
• Assist with project closeout and turnover documentation

Candidate Profile

• Experience working for a General Contractor or Construction Manager
• Exposure to commercial, residential, or mixed use construction projects
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator comfortable working with subcontractors, consultants, and clients
• Proactive and eager to develop into a Project Manager
• Based in New York or willing to relocate
