Job Description
Who We Are
Rosewood Creative is an independent creative agency based in Los Angeles. Rooted in culture, driven by creativity, and crafted with taste – we create stories worth sharing. From always-on content systems to disruptive campaigns, we make work that cuts through and drives value for our clients.
Founded in 2013, Rosewood has been recognized by Ad Age as Small Agency of the Year and A-List Agency Standout.
About this Role
Rosewood is looking for an Associate Creative Director who lives and breathes social and knows how to make work that breaks through. You have sharp cultural instincts and no time for safe ideas. You bring taste, speed, and deep platform fluency to create stories that drive engagement across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and beyond. Partnering closely with Strategy, you turn cultural signals into bold concepts and visuals, balancing originality with a clear understanding of trends and what resonates in the moment.
You’re as comfortable leading a small team as you are rolling up your sleeves to make the work, guiding ideas from concept through execution. You navigate feedback with confidence, presenting work to clients with clarity and creative rationale. You’re relentlessly curious – always raising the bar and staying ahead of what’s next on social.
**This role is remote, with a preference for candidates based in Los Angeles**
Responsibilities
- Develop ideas for social that people actually want to watch, share, and talk about, bringing equal strength in concepting, writing, and visual execution.
- Think in platforms, not just campaigns. Leverage your understanding of audience behaviors and algorithms to shape ideas from the start.
- Be hands-on in the making – concepting, writing, art directing, and refining content across formats, from fast-turn posts to larger campaign moments.
- Set and maintain a clear creative direction across all touchpoints, ensuring the work feels cohesive, intentional, and true to the brand.
- Turn cultural signals into ideas that feel timely, relevant, and worth engaging with.
- Lead a small team of creatives, providing clear direction, actionable feedback, and raising the bar on craft.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Stay closely connected to culture, tracking how people engage, what’s shifting, and where there’s opportunity to create something new.

- A portfolio demonstrating strong social thinking and execution across platforms, especially short-form video.
- Strong writing, visual, and storytelling skills, with a clear point of view on what works and why.
- Maker mindset with ability to execute light shooting, editing, and design. Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) preferred.
