AWS data architect

Location Torrance CA onsite

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Strategy

Define endtoend AWS data architecture covering ingestion storage processing analytics and consumption layers

Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable secure and costoptimized architectures

Own reference architectures design standards and best practices for AWS data platforms

Drive cloud modernization data lakehouse and analytics transformation initiatives

AWS Data Platform Design

Architect solutions using AWS S3 Glue EMR Redshift Athena Lake Formation Kinesis Lambda MWAA Airflow

Design batch and realtime data pipelines with high availability and fault tolerance

Define data modeling strategies for data lakes warehouses and analytical marts

Optimize performance scalability and cost using AWSnative design patterns

Data Governance Security Compliance

Define and enforce data governance lineage cataloging and quality standards

Design data security controls IAM KMS Lake Formation encryption masking

Ensure compliance with enterprise and client data policies PII GDPR SOX etc

Stakeholder Client Leadership

Act as primary architecture advisor to senior business and IT stakeholders

Lead architecture discussions with clients during RFPs SOWs and solution workshops

Provide technical leadership during demand validation hiring panels and solution signoffs

Delivery Oversight Mentorship

Review and approve architecture designs code patterns and deployment approaches

Mentor P4P5 architects data engineers and tech leads

Collaborate with DevOps teams on IaC CICD and cloud automation

Mandatory Skills

AWS Data Architecture Expert level

AWS services S3 Glue EMR Redshift Athena Lake Formation Kinesis Lambda

Data modeling for Data Lakes Data Warehouses and Analytics Platforms

Strong understanding of cloud security IAM encryption and governance

Experience with largescale enterprise data platforms

Stakeholder management and clientfacing architecture leadership

Good to Have

Snowflake Databricks on AWS

Streaming platforms Kafka MSK

BI Analytics tools QuickSight Power BI Tableau

Experience in automotive manufacturing or large enterprise clients

AWS certifications Solutions Architect Professional Data Analytics Specialty
