Job Summary:

Schuler Security is seeking a Home Theater Installation Technician to join our team of experts. In this role, you will work with premium home theater and automation systems in high-end residential properties. The ideal candidate has a passion for cutting-edge technology, a meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results for discerning clients. You will be responsible for installing, programming, and maintaining state-of-the-art audio, video, and automation systems while collaborating with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Configuration:

• Install and program high-end home theater systems, leveraging industry-leading brands such as Sony, Samsung and LG for video displays, and Sonos, Bluesound and Russound for audio equipment.
• Configure Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and surround sound systems with speaker brands like Bowers \& Wilkins, KEF, and Klipsch.
• Integrate Control4 and Savant automation systems for seamless control of lighting, audio, video, HVAC, and security.
• Set up and optimize networking systems using equipment from Ubiquiti, Araknis or Luxul for reliable home automation.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in complex systems.
• Ensure optimal performance of all hardware and software.

Client Interaction and Support:

• Connect with clients to customize their systems, offering recommendations for the best equipment and layouts based on their preferences and the space.
• Provide hands-on tutorials to homeowners on how to use their systems, ensuring they feel confident and satisfied with their investment.

Project Management:

• Work closely with interior designers, architects, and general contractors to ensure smooth integration of systems into the home.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and protect high-value properties during installations.

Stay Current on Industry Trends:

• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in home theater and automation technology, including 4K/8K resolutions, HDR formats (Dolby Vision, HDR10\+), and smart home ecosystems.
• Recommend upgrades or emerging technologies that can enhance the client experience.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications like CEDIA, ISF (Imaging Science Foundation), PCNA or THX certification are highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience installing and programming high-end home theater and automation systems.
• Advanced proficiency with Control4 and Savant, or similar control platforms.
• Strong technical skills, including the ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience working in high-net-worth environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
