Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst (Finance / Insurance Domain)

Location: United States — Onsite / Hybrid / Remote

Employment Type: W2 · Full-time · All immigration statuses accepted

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to financial services and insurance operations including banking systems, policy administration, claims management, underwriting, and financial reporting.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct gap analysis and impact analysis to evaluate current business processes and recommend system improvements.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify business trends, performance metrics, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of enterprise systems including financial platforms, policy administration systems, claims management systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • Create process flow diagrams, use cases, and workflow documentation to clearly define system functionality and business processes.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements and system changes.
  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing test scenarios, coordinating with stakeholders, and validating system outputs.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, insurance policies, and industry standards.
  • Support integration of enterprise systems with data warehouses, reporting platforms, and third-party applications.
  • Work with data and analytics teams to support reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand-up meetings.
  • Document business processes, system changes, and functional specifications to support knowledge sharing and future enhancements.
