Full-Time \| Travel Required

A growing industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced

Electrical Controls Engineer

to support capital projects, equipment design, and automation initiatives across multiple production facilities. This role will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of electrical and controls systems used in manufacturing environments.

The ideal candidate is a motivated problem solver who enjoys working on complex engineering challenges and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, high-performing production systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate electrical and control systems into new equipment and production line designs
  • Research and evaluate electrical components, sensors, and field devices used in industrial manufacturing environments
  • Support the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of electrical equipment and automation systems
  • Manage electrical and controls contractors during scope development, installation, testing, and commissioning phases of capital projects
  • Inspect and evaluate facilities and equipment to ensure system performance and quality standards are met
  • Develop testing procedures to validate functionality and performance of electrical systems
  • Design electrical systems and automation solutions that meet operational requirements and applicable regulations
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and develop improvements to increase reliability, efficiency, and productivity
  • Conduct engineering analysis and prepare technical reports on ongoing projects
  • Communicate technical information across engineering, operations, and project teams
  • Troubleshoot issues related to system design, installation, and operation
  • Maintain documentation and databases related to electrical systems and components
  • Train and mentor technicians and support staff during project implementation
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering and industrial automation

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in electrical engineering within manufacturing, automation, or industrial environments
  • Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar design tools
  • PLC programming experience, including

Siemens TIA Portal and Step 7
