Position Summary
Microtec Development \& Holdings is seeking an experienced
Construction Contracts Manager
to oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of our capital projects, with an immediate focus on the development of AggrePlex’s first commercial manufacturing facility.
This individual will be responsible for managing construction, engineering, procurement, equipment, and consulting agreements throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with executive leadership, project management, procurement, engineering, finance, and outside legal counsel, the Construction Contracts Manager will ensure contracts are properly negotiated, administered, and executed while protecting the company’s commercial interests and minimizing project risk.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer construction, engineering, procurement, equipment supply, consulting, and service agreements.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including bid documents, contract execution, change orders, amendments, claims, and closeout.
- Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to develop commercial strategies for capital projects.
- Coordinate contract reviews with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.
- Monitor contractual obligations, milestones, deliverables, payment schedules, and compliance requirements.
- Identify contractual risks and recommend strategies to mitigate commercial exposure.
- Support contractor prequalification, bid evaluations, and contract award recommendations.
- Maintain organized contract documentation, records, and reporting systems.
- Ensure compliance with insurance requirements, bonding requirements, regulatory obligations, and company policies.
- Assist with dispute resolution, contract interpretation, and claims management.
- Support future facility expansions and strategic construction projects across North America.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
- 7\+ years of experience managing contracts for industrial construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, EPC, or process industry projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracting, procurement practices, commercial risk allocation, and contract administration.
- Experience with EPC, EPCM, design-build, equipment supply, and professional services agreements.
- Familiarity with AIA, ConsensusDocs, FIDIC, or other standard construction contract forms is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working closely with engineering, procurement, legal, and executive leadership teams.
