Shift

The expectation is primarily day shift Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, however as an exempt-level position, additional hours will be required as needed to perform job duties.

Job Summary

The EHR Curriculum Designer will support the training and readiness activities for the Electronic Health Record project for the University of Kentucky HealthCare enterprise. The Curriculum Designer is responsible for leading the training activities for the respective program area. This role will develop curriculum and course content using adult learning principles and in accordance with the enterprise wide training strategy. The Curriculum Designer will develop and implement a comprehensive training plan for the respective program area. This role will work with application teams and Workflow Leads to ensure curriculum matches system build and workflows. This designer integrates usability principles in the user interface design training materials. The Curriculum Designer manages the role analysis and build out of the training calculator and develops and maintains the training environment in collaboration with the technical team. The Curriculum Designer provides oversight for Credentialed Trainers for the respective program team. This role coordinates issue resolution, risk identification and scope management through appropriate escalation process. The Curriculum Designer assists and supports content development with additional organizational readiness, activation, and testing teams and supports go-live activities. The Curriculum Designer will collaborate with project leadership, project team members, and various stakeholders to ensure the curriculum and training efforts successfully support the overall project goals and timelines to enable a successful implementation.

This position is hybrid.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience in information technology training preferred.
